Amateur Radio Satellites
An amateur radio (ham radio) satellite is an artificial satellite built and used by amateur radio operators (licensed) for use in the Amateur-satellite service. These satellites use amateur radio frequency allocations to facilitate communication between amateur radio stations. Frequencies used are typically in the 2m, 70cm, 1.2 GHz, and 2.4 GHz range. Some future satellites may be using 5 GHz and 10 GHz.
